Embark on a wild expedition through rich neutral tones and drops of poppy. This collection brings together whimsy and the untamed beauty of nature as seen through a child's eyes. Working together, Kinnen followed her mother's prompts, learning to implement patter design, layering techniques and mixed media.

Kinnen used a foam brush to lay down a neutral background then followed with layers upon layers of tans, beiges, blacks, browns, creams and whites. She added drops of rich poppy tones, using various tools to apply the paints such as brushes, forks, spoons and even her hands. She finished the piece with lines of black and white oil pastels.

Each piece boasts 6 hand cut hearts created over hours of work with love, attention and detail.
